Minecraft Server Status Rainmeter Skin by kraftydinosaur Minecraft Server Status Rainmeter Skin by kraftydinosaur
Skin for Rainmeter that displays the current status and number of players of any Minecraft server.

Setup Notes:

Rainmeter is required to use this skin.

Open "Minecraft Server Status.ini" in a text editor.
On the first two lines, change localhost and 25565 to the address and port of a Minecraft server.

Make sure to leave quotes around the server address.
The script retrieves server data every 10 seconds.

Scroll Down to [Variables] and change "Minecraft Server" to the name you want to be displayed by the skin.

I hope you guys find it useful. Please let me know if you find any bugs or have any questions.

Thank you! n__n

If it's possible, you should try making a skin that displays the names of the players online, that would be really cool.

is there a way to make the skin play a sound when a player joins?

Is there a way I can change the font? I can't find anything in the .ini

Edit: Got it. Go into the .ini and go under [Label] and [Players] and add a line with "FontFace=NAME OF FONT". You may need to edit the "y=" under [StatusIcon] to center the little square it vertically on the words. Larger numbers move it downwards.

**Tip for everyone:**
Make sure you go into your server.properties file and enable server querying. You can do this by going into your server.properties file and finding "enable-query", change the false to true and you should be good to go!

*ATTENTION FELLOW MINECRAFTERS*
Many of you have reported the skin not working the most common reason is the skin is listening on port 25565 when the normal status port is 25567 go into skin configurations and switch the port to 25567 or whatever your server is configured to send info on GREAT SKIN :D

Ah. I see. the error was caused by my removing the quotes from the server IP. But I am still not getting anything from the server, which I am certain is online as I am the owner.

See if you can connect using this website here: gamewebb.com/msmp-server-check…

Also, see if you can get it working with a local ip address. When refreshing the skin, click unload and then load again instead of the refresh button. It seems to work better.

I apologize. It seems one of the other admins disabling querying without my permission. The skin works perfectly now. Thank you for such a useful tool.

When trying to refresh server status I receive an error telling me to read the GetServerInfo.exe.log for details, which yields:

so i'm trying to get it to show my server that i run's external source connection ip, the ip that my friends will use to connect to it outside my internet, and it won't show that my server is online.
i'm using the same port for the rainmeter(the only one available) the 25565 to find the server but the server is also running through that port, and i can change the name and updated it and it will show the name and everything correctly, but not the server activity itself.
and my minecraft and others say that the server is active and working, and the only things i changed are the server ip at the top of the page, and the name of the server. please help. this rainmeter addon is wonderful andclean cut, and cute, and i want it to work.

Hmmmm, can you show me what the first two lines of the Minecraft Server Status.ini file are? Just replace the numbers in the ip address with X's. Don't forget to leave quotes around the server ip, but not around the port number.

Well that looks right. The skin requires a little app to run called "GetServerInfo.exe" that should run automatically. There might be some sort of anti-virus software or something blocking it from starting possibly. Did you try reinstalling it?

yea i've reinstalled it 2 times now. there is a file called getserverinfo.exe but it's a text document, that says that there is a syntax error.
